The Hands of Christ Ministry was blessed to be started by Missionary Claire Cooper. This ministry donates healthy meals, cases of water and hygiene care packs (i.e., wipes, deodorant, toothpaste and tooth brushes, sanitizer and masks) for distribution to homeless camps throughout the Sacramento area and it supports the Bread of Life Ministry (under the leadership of Min. H. Anderson Sr.) by supplying nonperishable meals for immediate need within our Church and community. Every 3rd Saturday, distributions of these foods and other items are given out.
The Bread ministry began in the early year of 2000. Chaplain Thompson was the coordinator for identifying Churches and other Christian organizations to assist with providing bread and pastries to their Churches and community. The foods were provided by Safeway Grocery Store. Chaplain connected with Elder Michael Asberry (formerly known as Deacon M. Asberry) regarding this project. With the permission of Founding Pastor, Itasker Hollins Sr. and excitement in his heart, he and Elder M. Asberry were the first to establish, pickup and deliver bread and pastry to the All Nations COGIC Community, hence The Bread Ministry came into existence. In 2004, Deacon Howard Anderson Sr. joined Deacon Tyson as the primary members responsible for the pickup and distribution of items from Safeway. Not only did Safeway provide bread and pastry, but they also provided milk, eggs, cheese, yogurt, juices, probiotics, butter, margarine, flour, sugar and numerous other can goods and packaged products. About eight months ago, the Lord spoke to Deacon H. Andersonęs heart and he began to minister the word of God to whomever would listen as they came to receive their natural foods.
With the blessing of our Pastor, Itasker Hollins Jr, The Bread Ministryęs name was changed to the –Bread of Life Ministry”. Foods, prayer, and an encouraging words are available to anyone who would like to come and receive on every Monday at 8:00 a.m. in the All Nations Church parking lot. |
