1st Lady April Hollins
April Denise Perez-Hollins, the first child born to Jose Alejandro and Sheila Antoinette Perez on July 25, 1969 in Washington DC, entered the world. At a young age she distinctly recognized God's hand upon her life.
In 1991, April accepted the Pentecostal Doctrine of the Church of God in Christ and was baptized in the Holy Spirit at the age of 22, under the ministry of her Pastor, Superintendent Itasker Hollins, Sr., at her present church, All Nations Church of God in Christ, in Sacramento California.
After graduating from Elizabeth Ann Seton High School in 1987, Sister Hollins was accepted in the School of Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. There she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. In July 1991, Sister Hollins relocated to Sacramento, California and went to work as a Transportation Engineer at the Department of Transportation (Caltrans), where she is presently employed. She is a California Licensed Professional Engineer.
On October 4, 1997, the former April Denise Perez, was joined in holy matrimony to the Elder Itasker Hollins, Jr., of Sacramento, California. Their first child was born, Itasker III, on August 27, 1999. Their second child, a daughter, Alyssa Nicole, was born on November 28, 2003.
Lady Hollins now serves as First Lady of All Nations Church of God in Christ. For over 30 years she has served in practically every auxiliary of the ministry. She has also implemented and delivered various inreach and outreach ministries such as informational flyers, weekly church programs, and church newsletters. She created and designed the church website, and currently serves on the church finance committee. She has also served on the multi-media audio/video team as editor for the CD, DVD and livestreaming ministry.
She served as Communication Director on the Board of the All Nations Church Building and Remodeling Project, the $2.2 million project which opened in March 2008. She assists her husband, Pastor Itasker Hollins, Jr. in implementing Church Growth, Financial, and Leadership Seminars at local, COGIC District and Jurisdictional levels.
Lady Hollins has served the founding first lady, Lady Julia Hollins, as assistant of the All Nations Women’s Department, and has served as the Young Women’s Christian Council President.
Sister April Denise Hollins, is known for her sweet spirit and continues being obedient to God, living her life by the word of her favorite scripture, Ephesians 3:20 (NKJV), "Now unto Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us."
